Abstract:[Objective] To study the effect of IPC treatment on Achilles tendon complications and the incidence of DVT, and to explore a reliable method to reduce the incidence of DVT after Achilles tendon surgery. [Methods] Surgical treatment of 114 cases of acute Achilles tendon rupture from 2020 to 2022. Among them, 55 cases received IPC treatment after the operation (IPC group), and 59 cases received conventional treatment after the operation (traditional group). The perioperative and follow-up data were compared between the two groups. [Results]The operation was completed in both groups. The incidence of DVT after 2 weeks of IPC was significantly lower than that of the traditional group (P<0.05), and the incidence of DVT after 4 weeks was not significantly different from that of the traditional group (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0.05). [Conclusion]IPC treatment can effectively reduce the occurrence of DVT even when the lower limbs are fixed, and has no significant effect on incision infection and the sural nerve.
