Abstract:[Objective] To investigate the surgical treatment and clinical effect of ankle fracture with complete injury of triangular ligament. [Methods] From January 2018 to December 2020, 25 patients diagnosed with ankle fracture and complete injury of triangular ligament were cured with fracture reduction and internal fixation and double line anchor strengthening repair of triangular ligament. Visual analogue scale (VAS), American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, (AOFAS),and image examination were used to evaluate the clinical effect. [Results] All the patients were operated successfully, without any injury to important blood vessels and nerves, and the incisions were healed in one stage. The follow-up time was 12-38(19.6±6.8)months. At the last follow-up, the average VAS score was 0—2 (1.0 ± 0.8),the average AOFAS score was 89—98 (93.0 ± 2.9), and the average medial ankle space of ankle joint was 2.4—3.8 (3.3 ± 0.4) mm. None of the patients had ankle arthritis. [Conclusion] The treatment of ankle fracture with complete injury of triangular ligament with double line anchor can restore the stability of ankle joint in one stage, facilitate early functional exercise, maintain the medial space of ankle joint, and thus improve the clinical effect.
