Abstract:[Objective] to measure the morphological characteristics of lumbar pedicle in adult Tibetan, and compare the morphological differences between Tibetan and Han nationalities and between men and women, so as to provide reliable anatomical data for the selection of lumbar pedicle screws and the positioning of internal fixation in Tibet. [Methods] 100 Tibetan patients (50 males and 50 females) and 100 Han patients (50 males and 50 females), aged 18-60 years, who met the inclusion criteria, were randomly selected. According to the nationality and gender, the pedicle width, axis length, sagittal diameter, cross-sectional angle and sagittal plane angle of L1-L5 vertebral body were measured by CT three-dimensional reconstruction technology, and the measured data were statistically analyzed. [Results] the width and cross-sectional angle of lumbar pedicle gradually increased from L1 to L5, and the sagittal diameter of lumbar pedicle gradually decreased from L1 to L5. The axial length of lumbar pedicle increased from top to bottom in L1-L3 segment, and decreased in L3-L5 segment; The level of change of lumbar pedicle inclination angle was small. There are differences in the data of various diameter lines of lumbar pedicle between Tibetan and Han people. The width, axis length, sagittal diameter and L2-L4 pedicle cross-sectional angle of Tibetan men's lumbar pedicle are larger than Tibetan women's. [Conclusion] there are differences in the measurement of lumbar pedicle morphology between different races and genders. Therefore, the racial and gender differences should be considered in the selection of screw placement angle and screw type during lumbar pedicle internal fixation. At the same time, there are individual differences in lumbar pedicle morphology. It is necessary to perform CT and other examinations on the nail placement vertebral body before operation.
