Abstract:The "cluster phenomenon" refers to the occurrence of spontaneous thoracic and/or lumbar fractures of at least 5 levels within 8 months, which is very rare in clinical practice. In this report, the patient had at least 4 thoracolumbar fractures in a short period of time after surgery for gland and pituitary tumors. The fracture symptoms were relieved after conservative and PKP treatment, but the patient eventually died, possibly due to hormonal crisis caused by adenopituitary dysfunction. . Conclusion When the patients meet 1. osteoporosis, especially abnormal hormone levels or prolonged use of glucocorticoids; 2. secondary fractures in a short period of time, especially after iatrogenic factors can be excluded, they should be promptly predicted as "suspicious group". "Cluster phenomenon", adjust hormone levels at the same time of surgical treatment, and be alert to the occurrence of hormonal crisis.
