Abstract:Charcot arthritis, also known as neuropathic arthropathy, is mostly due to diabetes, syringomyelia, spinal cord trauma, leprosy, chronic alcoholism and other factors, resulting in sensory nerve function around the shoulder joint, progressive degeneration and destruction of joints. Syringomyelia is a common cause of Charcot arthritis of the shoulder. This case was a patient with Charcot shoulder arthritis and complained of repeated shoulder dislocations. Charcot arthritis often affects the shoulder joint, resulting in bone destruction, shoulder instability, and shoulder lift dysfunction.
