Abstract:Tibial torsion refers to the twisting of the tibia itself around its longitudinal axis. Tibial torsion deformity can cause clinical symptoms such as abnormal gait, knee pain, and patellofemoral joint disorder in about 1% of adults. Tibial torsion is easily ignored in clinical work. The current research on tibial torsion in China mainly focuses on the relationship between the angle of tibial torsion and clinical symptoms, and there is no case report on the surgical treatment of tibial torsion. In this paper, a case of tibial torsion deformity treated by surgery was reported, and the clinical symptoms, surgical indications and surgical methods of tibial torsion were reviewed and summarized from the relevant aspects of surgical treatment, so as to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of clinical tibial torsion.
