Abstract:Objective: To observe the treatment effect of unilateral biportal endoscopy and annulus fibrosus stapler in the treatment of huge protrusive type of lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 66 cases of huge protrusive type of lumbar spinal stenosis using unilateral biportal endoscopy and annulus fibrosus stapler (31,UBE) and percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy,35,PELD)from 2019.01 to 2021.06. The operation time, bleeding and hospital stay were recorded and analyzed. VAS score and ODI score was to evaluate the clinical efficacy, and make a record of surgical complications. Results: All patients in both groups had operations performed successfully without serious complications. There is a significantly improvement after operation in VAS and ODI in all groups (P<0.05), while there is a significantly superior in long-term in UBE group. In addition, the UBE group proved significantly superior to the PELD group in terms of the X-ray times, recurrence and residues of nucleus pulposus (P<0.05). Conclusions: The unilateral biportal endoscopy and annulus fibrosus stapler could be a kind of ideal treatment in clinic in in the treatment of huge protrusive type of lumbar spinal stenosis, while still has some indications selection and experience lessons needed to be sorted out and summarized.
