Abstract:[objective] to analyze the patients with lumbar and leg pain who showed lumbar disc herniation on imaging, and to find out the main causes of the chief complaint symptoms by inquiring the medical history and physical examination, and to carry out accurate treatment, so as to reduce or avoid unnecessary iatrogenic injuries and improve patient satisfaction. [methods] 33 patients with lumbar disc herniation who complained of lumbar and leg pain and improved obviously after non-operative treatment were reviewed. the treatment process was analyzed and the main pathogenic factors were found. [results] after non-operative treatment (mainly local blocking and nerve block injection), the waist and leg pain of the selected patients were significantly relieved, and there was no recurrence after follow-up for 3-6 months. [conclusion] for the patients with waist and leg pain, we should not rely too much on the results of imaging examination. we should ask the medical history in detail, examine the body carefully, and abandon the preconceived habitual mode of thinking. find out the main pathogenic factors that lead to the symptoms of the patient''s chief complaint, and improve the accuracy of treatment.
