[Objective] To research the relationship between IL-17A rs2275913 polymorphism and susceptibility of different kind of tuberculosis in Southern Chinese Han population.[Methods] The genotype frequency of rs2275913 locus of IL-17A were statistically analyzed through sequencing technology by collecting peripheral blood samples from 142 patients with tuberculosis, 154 patients with spinal tuberculosis and 182 normal controls.[Results] RS2275913 polymorphism of IL-17A was associated with TB susceptibility (P<0.05), there was a significant difference in genotype distribution between spinal tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis (P<0.05); and there was a significant difference between spinal tuberculosis group and control group (P<0.05), but not between pulmonary tuberculosis group and control group (P>0.05).[Conclusion] The rs2275913 locus of IL-17A gene was associated with the susceptibility of tuberculosis in the Han population of southern China, especially spinal tuberculosis.
