Abstract:[Objective]:To compare the clinical efficacy of traditional open surgery and minimally invasive suture in the treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture ,by comparing postoperative complications 、the AOFAS score and ankle ROM. [Methods] 59 patients of Achilles tendon rupture in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed from January 2016 to June 2020, we divided the patient into two groups: traditional open surgery group(n=30) and minimally invasive suture group(n=29). The operation time、 intraoperative hemorrhage、 notch length、 hospitalization time and postoperative complications were compared. The functional outcomes were analyzed by the AOFAS score and ankle ROM at one year after operation. [Results] The operation time、 intraoperative hemorrhage、 notch length、 hospitalization time in the minimally invasive group were significantly lower than those in traditional open surgery group (P < 0.05). One year later, there was no significant difference in the AOFAS scores and ankle ROM (P > 0.05) [Conclusion] Minimally invasive treatment and traditional open surgery have the same surgical effect. However, minimally invasive surgery has the advantages of short hospital stay and less trauma, so it is worth popularizing in clinic.
