Abstract:Abstract: [Objective] To compare the clinical outcomes of Nice knot technique combined with VAC versus steel wire and Kirschner pin for fasciotomy wounds. [Methods] A retrospective study was conducted on 45 patients(50 Wounds)with fasciotomies from March 2017 to March 2021.The patients were divided into two groups, treated either by Nice knot technique combined with VAC (n=24 wounds, 22 patients, group N) or by steel wire and Kirschner pin (n=26 wounds, 23 patients, group S).The perioperative clinical effect, cost and patient satisfaction of the patients were data collected and statistically assessed.[Results] The postoperative drainage volume(48h)and the time of wound closure of group N were significantly higher than group S (P<0.05). VAS score(1,2d?after?operation)of group N were significantly lower than group S (P<0.05). Average wound width(3,6d?after?operation)of group N were significantly higher than group S (P<0.05). HCT(1,3d?after?operation)of group N were significantly lower than group S (P<0.05). Treatment costs of group N were significantly higher than group S (P<0.05). Complications(14 d and 3 M after operation)of group N were significantly lower than group S (P<0.05). The satisfaction of patients of 2 groups were not statistically significant (P > 0.05). [Conclusion] Nice knot technique combined with VAC is less painful and has lower complications than steel wire and Kirschner pin techniques, but has more blood loss and does not have cost and time advantages.
