Abstract:Endogenous stem cells can differentiate into astrocytes, neurons and oligodendrocytes after spinal cord injury ( SCI ), which plays an important role in nerve regeneration. The key to endogenous therapy is to study the methods of inducing them to differentiate into specific nerve cells. In recent years, more and more endogenous stem cell induction methods have been developed and applied to promote the generation of newborn neurons and oligodendrocytes, and reduce the blocking effect of glial scar on repair. This article reviews the recent research progress of endogenous stem cells in SCI repair.
