Disc degeneration is the main cause of disc herniation, and there are many inflammatory factors related to disc degeneration, such as tumor necrosis factor, interleukin, Matrix metalloproteinase and Prostaglandin. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been widely used in the treatment of degenerative diseases of intervertebral disc. Therefore, this paper summarizes the mechanism of inflammatory factors in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration with traditional Chinese medicine.
