Abstract:Abstract: Objective: To study the clinical effect of the method Objective to investigate the effect of tarsal sinus approach plate combined with micro screw fixation in the treatment of intra-articular calcaneal fractures. methodMethod: The clinical data of 24 patients (26 feet) with intra-articular calcaneal fracture were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were males and with an age of 43.86±8.9 years (from 30 to 58 years). According to Sanders classification, 10 feet were type Ⅱ, 14 feet were type Ⅲ and 2 feet were type Ⅳ. TThe changes of Bohler angle, gissane angle, calcaneal width, height and length before and after operation were analyzed. The recovery of ankle function and the incidence of postoperative complications were evaluated by AOFAS score. Complications were recorded after surgery. Results: All of the patients were followed up for 7-30 months (average, 14.33±7.2).After surgery, the incisions were all healed and no infectlon occurred after surgery. No tendon tenosynovitis and nerve injury was seen after surgery. Ankle joint stiffness was found in 2 cases. Bohler angle, gissane angle, calcaneal width and height were significantly improved 3 months after operation (P p< 0.05); AOFAS score and excellent and good rate were 92.3%., bBut there was no significant difference in calcaneus length and ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion before and after operation (P p> 0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of calcaneal fractures with plate and micro screw fixation through tarsal sinus approach can significantly improve Bohler angle, gissane angle, calcaneal width and height, promote fracture reduction and postoperative recovery of ankle function.
