Abstract:Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is a common disease of middle-aged and senile patients, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and brings a huge burden to the social medical security system. Clinical observation showed that exercise therapy, such as lumbar flexion and extension exercise, core stability exercises, cycling training, body-weight supported treadmill training, and water-based exercise, play an important role in the treatment of LSS. However, the effectiveness and mechanisms of some training methods are not clear, and there is still a lack of quantitative standards for exercise therapy. In this paper, application progress of exercise therapy for LSS is reviewed to provide a reference for clinicians to carry out exercise therapy better.
