Abstract:For young patients with active degenerative hip arthritis, joint fusion surgery has been a good treatment option. In recent years, arthrodesis has been gradually replaced by new treatment options such as hip resurfacing and total hip replacement. Nowadays, the number of patients with hip ankylosis caused by surgery has been greatly reduced, and the combined proximal femur fracture is even rarer. In our hospital, total hip arthroplasty (THA) was used to revise 1 case of ankylotic hip with intertrochanteric fracture. The results of the postoperative patient were satisfactory. The report is as follows.
