Abstract:[Objective] To discuss the risk factors and preventive measures for cage retropulsion following lumbar interbody fusion. [Methods] Retrospective analysis of 692 patients, 23 cases of cage retropulsion. Gender, age, complications ,the height of the intervertebral space, the depth of the fusion cage, the stability of the pedicle screw, The recovery of the lordotic angle of the intervertebral space, hospital stay, the time of brace wearing. A total of 12 possible influencing factors were included in the analysis, and possible independent influencing factors were analyzed through logistics regression.[Results] The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that there were significant differences in osteoporosis, overweight, the recovery of intervertebral space height, the depth of cage implantation, and the time of brace wearing. [Conclusions] Cage retropulsion following lumbar interbody fusion is caused by multiple-factors. Osteoporosis, overweight, the recovery of intervertebral space height, the depth of cage implantation, and the time of brace wearing are independent influencing factors for cage retropulsion, and based on the above five influencing factors. It can be used to prevent cage retropulsion during and after the operation.
