IVDD is a pathological basis for a series of degenerative diseases of the spine, which has a high incidence rate and seriously affects people''s lives. Traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration, and its effect is better. In this paper, the experimental pharmacological mechanism of single medicine, compound medicine and Chinese patent medicine in the treatment of IVDD were summarized, which can provide reference for clinical practice.
