Abstract:Abstract: [Objective] To analyze the safety and effectiveness of different flap repair methods in patients with traumatic skin defect of forearm. [Methods] 106 patients with traumatic skin defect of forearm treated in the Department of Trauma surgery of our hospital from February 2015 to August 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The patients in the study group were repaired with free deep femoral artery perforator flap (56 cases). The patients in the control group were treated with anterolateral thigh flap (50 cases). The patients were followed up for 12 months, and the perioperative data, skin condition of donor area and recipient area were compared between the two groups. [Results] The operation time, intraoperative blood loss and hospital stay in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of severe adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05), and there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). The skin recovery in the donor area was good in the two groups, but there was little difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). At the last follow-up, the elasticity difference and color change of forearm skin were less in the two groups, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). [Conclusion] The application of free deep femoral artery perforator flap in the repair of arm traumatic skin defect has the advantages of simplicity, safety and high efficiency, and can effectively reduce the perioperative indexes such as operation time and intraoperative blood loss, and avoid the influence of surgical trauma on rehabilitation as far as possible.
