Abstract:Occipitalcervical instability is a life-threatening condition and subsequently a series of neurological dysfunction caused by various pathological conditions. It is crucial to reconstruct the normal ccipitalcervical anatomical relationship as soon as possible and restore its stability. Since the fibula autograft, which was first reported surgery in the region, researches increased gradually with developed concept and technology. However, various surgical complications occurred occasionally, furthermore, considering the complex anatomic and biomechanical structure, it still needs further study. The present paper aims at the related clinical study of occipital cervical fusion.
