Abstract:Objective: Statistics on spinal infection patients admitted to the 960th Hospital of the People''s Liberation Army in the past 18 years, analyze the existing problems and future challenges according to the data, and propose corresponding treatment measures. Methods: A statistical analysis was performed on 254 patients diagnosed with spinal infection in our department from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2018. Age, number, number of surgeries, number of specific sensitivity infections, and number of unspecified microbial pathogens were respectively counted according to a 3-year period, and the ratio and detection correlation were calculated. Results: 1. The growth formula of patients with spinal infection is y = 10.4x + 5.933, r = 0.990, which accounts for 5.1% of the average proportion of spinal diseases. 2. The formula for the increase of surgical rate is y= -0.041x + 0.887, r = 0.756, the formula for the increase of age is y= 3.341x + 34.16, r = 0.791, the linear formula for the operation rate and average age is Y =1.23-0.0106x, R = 0.7, and the P value is 0.0382. 3. The formula for the proportion of specific infection is y = -0.055x + 0.758, r = 0.620, and the formula for the absolute number growth is y = 3.4x + 10.26, r = 0.781. 4. The undefined etiological growth formula is y = 0.053x + 0.198, R = 0.651. Conclusion: 1. With the increase of the spinal disorders patients, the patients of spinal infection is increasing, and the average age of patients with spinal infection is continuously increasing. 2. The proportion of operation is lower and lower, which is negatively correlated with age. 3. The proportion of Unidentified pathogenic bacteria infection increases.
