Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment methods of gout in lumbar disc deposition. Methods Six patients with lumbar intervertebral disc deposition tophi were treated in Renhe Hospital Affiliated to Three Gorges University and Jingzhou Second People's Hospital from December 2013 to December 2018. The main symptoms of the patients were low back pain with lower limb pain and / or numbness. All patients underwent spinal endoscopy. Results All patients had no complications such as incision infection and nerve injury. The preoperative VAS (8.167 ± 0.307) points and postoperative (1.000 ± 0.365) points were significantly lower than those before the operation, and the difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). Conclusion The clinical manifestations of tomphstones deposited in the lumbar disc are not specific. The postoperative medical examination showed urate crystal deposition, which was effective through perforated endoscopic resection, and uric acid-lowering medication was needed after operation to reduce recurrence.
