Abstract:Osteoarthritis is a joint disease characterized by the gradual loss of articular cartilage and subchondral bone, accompanied by various degrees of inflammation of the synovium.Glucocorticoids have powerful anti-inflammatory effects,which can resist inflammation caused by various reasons such as physical, chemical,biological,and immune.Clinically, synthetic glucocorticoids are usually used in the treatment of osteoarthritis because of its excellent and rapid anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, especially in intraarticular injection.In this review,we will explore the research progress of glucocorticoid in osteoarthritis in order to provide reference for optimizing osteoarthritis therapy.
