Abstract:The measurement of gap-balancing by gap-pressure during total knee arthroplasty has become one of the research hotspots in the improvement of total knee arthroplasty in recent 20 years. Researchers use a variety of ways to convert the subjective perception of joint gap pressure into quantitative data to help surgeons with better assessmen of the knee joint gap balance. Different types of measurement methods and measuring devices emerged thrivingly. This study reviews the development and current satuas of interarticular gap pressure measurement and pressure-sensors for tibial trails in total knee arthroplasty.
