Abstract:Cerebrospinal fluid leakage during spinal surgery is frequently reported, about 3.5% ~ 17.4%[1], but intracranial hemorrhage due to cerebrospinal fluid leakage is rarely reported. In 1981, Chadduck [2] reported the first case of spinal postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage concurrent remoteness small cerebral hemorrhage (remote cranial hemorrhages, RCH), then reports of spinal postoperative concurrent intracranial hemorrhage. At present, the mechanism of its occurrence is still unknown, most scholars believe that it is related to cerebrospinal fluid leakage resulting in low cranial pressure, brain sinking. A case of cerebrospinal fluid leakage complicated by subdural hemorrhage and bilateral cerebellar hemorrhage after laminectomy and decompression for ossification of ligamentum flavum (OLF) was reported and the relevant literatures were reviewed to explore the pathogenesis.
