Abstract:[Objective] To investigate the clinical efficacy of treatment of tibial tubercle acute patellar tendon ruptures in adolescence with double suture anchors. [Methods] The 11 patients with tibial tubercle acute patellar tendon ruptures in adolescence treated by Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University were selected as the research objects from june 2015 to june 2018.There were 8 males and 3 females.Age range13~17 years, with an average age of 15.3±2.1 years.Using double suture anchors to repair and fix patellar tendon ruptures on operation.Regular postoperative outpatient follow-up was conducted to guide functional exercise. The knee joints Lysholm scores and the radiological Insall-Salvati index were retrospectively analyzed before operation and at 1,3,6 and 12 months after operation, and the recovery of knee function after surgery was also evaluated. [Results] All patients were followed up for 12~20 months, averaging 15.8 months. There was not complication observed such as infection, incision nonhealing, loose anchor, prolapse anchor or secondary crack of the patellar tendon. The Lysholm scores of the affected side knee joints were poor before operation, good at 1 and 3 months after operation, and excellent at 6 and 12 months after operation. The Insall-Salvati index of the affected side knee joints were higher than that of the unaffected knee joints before operation(P<0.05).However,there were no significant difference between the affected side and the unaffected side knee joints at 1,3,6 and 12 months after operation(P>0.05).[Conclusion] Using double suture anchors to treat tibial tubercle acute patellar tendon ruptures in adolescence has the advantages of simple method, reliable repair, early rehabilitation training, may achieve satisfactory clinical efficacy.
