Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the clinical effect of cutaneous nerve nutrition vascular skin flap with lateral gastrocnemius artery perforator in repairing large soft tissue defect of leg.Method From July 2012 to October 2018, 14 patients with soft tissue defects of Leg were treated. There were 10 males and 4 females ,24 years old to 62 years old (mean 43.6 years old). The causes of injury : 6 cases of Machine strangulation, 4 cases of severe smashing injury and 4 cases of soft tissue necrosis after operation of upper tibia fracture. The Wound size ranged from 12 cm × 7 cm to 17cm × 6 cm.Lateral sural cutaneous nerve nutrition vascular skin flap with lateral gastrocnemius artery perforator was taken to repair the wound, the size of flaps ranged from 14cm × 8cm to 20 cm × 8cm and all the donor areas were repaired by free skin grafting.Result All the 14 cases survived and the wound healed in the first stage. No postoperative complications were found. The follow-up period was 6 to 24 months, with an average of 18 months. The color and texture of the flap are similar to those of the recipient area, the appearance is satisfactory, the thickness is moderate, there is no obvious bloated, and the feeling of the flap can be recovered. Feeling according to the criteria of the British Medical Research Association:2 cases S3+,10 cases S3, 2 cases S2.Conclusion Lateral sural cutaneous nerve nutrition vascular skin flap with penetrating branch of lateral sural artery is an effective method to repair large soft tissue defect of leg.
