Abstract:Chondrosarcoma is a relatively common skeletal system malignant tumor, accounting for 9.2% of all primary malignancies, and most commonly in the pelvis and femur. Chondrosarcoma occuring in flat bones such as ribs is occasionally reported. It usually grows to a large extent when the clinical symptoms are present. However, Chondrosarcoma is currently not sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Radical surgical resection is currently the best method for treating chondrosarcoma. However, there is no good material and no unified reconstruction method for how to reconstruct the stability of the chest wall after the huge tumor resection and prevent the occurrence of the flail chest. At present, the research on reconstructing the chest wall using ordinary pelvis reconstruction plate has not been reported yet. The case of thoracic cavity reconstruction with anatomical plate after tumor resection in patients with thoracic chondrosarcoma is reported below.
