Abstract:ABSTRACT: Objective To investigate the effect of modified Kirschner wire combined with volar locking plate in the treatment of distal radius fractures. Methods The clinical data of 7 cases with distal radius fracture treated by operation were collected. The improved Kirschner wire combined with volar locking plate was used to fix the fracture.A total 7 patients were followed up with 12 months, the imaging parameters, fracture reduction, healing and internal fixation were evaluated, and MAYO wrist function score was evaluated. Results All 7 patients were followed up for an average of 12 months. There were no neurovascular complications, all fractures healed after operation, and 1 case lost reduction, but need not reoperation. There was no obvious pain .The MAYO wrist function score was 75-95, with an average of 89.29. Conclusion Modified Kirschner wire combined with volar locking plate can effectively treat of distal radius fracture.
