[Objective]：To discuss the reason of screw breakage after internal fixation of calcaneal fracture operation．[Methods]: All the internal fixation of calcaneal fracture cases were followed up，The multiple broken screws of internal fixation was found in 1 case, and the reason were further analyzed. [Result]: The reason of fracture of the internal fixation screw:(1). The load on the calcaneus is huge, it will be relevant to physiological characteristics. (2). Internal fixation is unstable. (3). Internal fixation screw design is unreasonable and poor quality. (4). Internal fixation screw was not inserted according to the anatomical Angle of calcaneus. [Conclusion]: Postoperative screw breakage of calcaneal fracture was caused by a combination of factors, A single factor aggravates the occurrence of screw breakage.
