Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To Analysis the short-term clinical efficacy of fixed-bearing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty for medial unicompartment osteoarthritis. Methods During the period 2016/7 to 2018/5 a total of 79 patients(91 knees)underwent fixed-bearing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty for medial unicompartment osteoarthritis. The average age was (57.39±4.64)years(49-86 years). All cases were performed by the same surgery team. The medial unicompartment osteoarthritis was treated with anterior medial and small incision and multimodal analgesia.Follow-up made by telephone or outpatient. The median follow-up was (14.36±7.58)(range 7 to 30 months)and none of the patients died, and 2 were considered to be lost. The patients were evaluated pre- and postoperatively by KSS scoring system, and the data were analyzed statistically. Results The mean KSS knee scores pre-and postoperatively was (65.44±5.48)(range 50 to 82)to (97.31±1.36)(89 to 100) , the mean KSS function scores pre-and postoperatively was (54.57±6.11)(range 44 to 78) to (94.83±1.28)(80 to 100) ,P<0.05.1 case occurred tibial plateau fracture in the operation and 1 case was weakness on knee extension of postoperation.2 cases presented intractable pain. There was no lateral compartments progressive degeneration cases. Conclusion The treatment of fixed-bearing medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty is effective in the short-term clinical efficacy.
